The learning of language of children is the most pleasant element for parents. From a recent research it has been cleared that the children start leaning language even before their birth. The fetus can identify the speech and sound pattern of mother.
In the same way, the young baby of 4 months can discriminate between sounds and even they can identify lip reading. It is a wonderful thing that the children before getting one year are able to distinguish between the speech sounds of all languages but this ability finish when they reach the age of 10 months.
So, it can be said that the language development in children is a natural phenomenon ion the young babies.
Then with the passage of time, the children learn the vocabulary of their native language. In the age of 3 years, the children have a stock of three thousand words.
In the literature, there is a separate subject known as linguistics. In this subject the basic structure of child’s mind and his ability to learn a language is described. The children hear a tone constantly, the start recognize the tone. In tis way, when the tone is heard to the children but the person is not shown.
The children can recognize the person even without seeing the person. So, it can be said that the repetition of one thing has a deep place in the minds of children. The children have cognitive ability to learn a language. First the children speak the vowel sounds but later on they start producing words.
And then they start making sentences.
According to a research it has been proved that the child learns a word only then if the certain word is repeated thousand times before the child. When the children are got admitted in the schools they start learning a language properly. In the age of four to five years the children start making sentences by themselves.
In the age of 8 they start making difference in the verbs, adverbs, adjectives, and even tenses. In this way, the process of language development in children starts from the womb of mother and ends with the end of life.
The first institute of the children is the home where the mother and father like to teach children many words like mama, papa and ice-cream etc. in this the process of learning a language is very interesting.
